There are three reasons for the Board of Zoning Appeals to meet; they are delineated below. All applications must be accompanied by a $50.00 fee to cover the expense of the public notice, as required by state law, and the placement of a yard sign as information for the neighbors.
Application for a Special Exception - Some uses are allowable by special exception only; in these instances, you will be required to complete the application and return it to the Codes Department.
Application for a Variance - To request a variance from a Zoning Ordinance, complete the form and return it to the Codes Department.
Application for an Administrative Appeal - To appeal a decision based on the Zoning Ordinance by any staff member, complete the form and return it to the Codes Department.
